What To do In Ibiza for Christmas and New Years 2023-2024

Planning a visit to Ibiza for winter holidays? Congratulations, you are in for a treat and you’ll find a diverse range of activities and events to enjoy during this festive season. From Christmas markets to cultural festivals, here are some highlights of what the island has to offer, along with the original sources for each event:

Christmas Programme in Ibiza Town:

The Ibiza Town Council has organized a Christmas programme with activities for all ages, including a Christmas market at Vara de Rey boulevard until January 6th. The market features festive stalls and is open on the Vara de Rey boulevard – 11:00 – 14:00 and 17:00 – 21:00. On December 24 and 31 the opening hours are from 11:00 – 14:00. You can download the entire programme in Catalan and Spanish here.

Festes de Nadal 2023 a Sant Antoni:

Located on Passeig de ses Fonts, the Christmas Market is the place to celebrate this warm and magical time of year in Sant Antoni de Portmany. From December 1 to January 7, from Monday to Thursday, from 5 PM to 10 PM, and Friday to Sunday and holidays from 11 AM to 11 PM, the market offers its food, craft, and commerce stalls, along with a children’s fair with entertainment for the little ones and a series of live concerts and shows for the whole family.
We personally recommend this Christmas Market as it could be a lot of fun. You can access the entire Sant Antoni Festivities programme here.

La Feria de Navidad de Ibiza – Fun Fair in Ibiza Town

From November 24th to January 14th, both children and adults will have the opportunity to experience exhilarating rides located on the outskirts of Ibiza town. This year, the amusement park relocates to a new venue, situated in the parking lot at the entrance to Ibiza town, positioned between the Bfit gym and El Carnicero restaurant. Access the new location here.

Operating daily from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM, with extended hours until midnight on weekends.

Almond Blossoms and Sightseeing:

In January, the almond trees across Ibiza burst into bloom, offering a picturesque natural spectacle. This is a great time to explore the island’s sights at a leisurely pace, as the low season allows for a more intimate experience. Consider visiting Formentera and chartering a boat to explore the Balearic islands for a unique and tranquil adventure.

New Year’s Eve and Three Kings Parades:

Embrace the festive spirit of New Year’s Eve in Ibiza, with celebrations and events across the island. On January 5th and 6th, don’t miss the Three Kings parades, a traditional Spanish celebration with colorful processions and activities for the whole family.

Cultural Festivals and Events:

Throughout the festive season, Ibiza hosts a variety of cultural festivals and events, offering a unique insight into the island’s traditions. From ballet performances to language exchanges, there are activities to suit every interest.

Artificial Ice Skating and Christmas Markets:

Until January 7th, you can experience the festive charm of “ice” skating in Ibiza Town at Reina Sofia park. The artificial skating rink is part of the Christmas and New Year activities organized by the Ibiza Town Council. Additionally, the Christmas markets offer a vibrant atmosphere with seasonal music, making them a great place to find unique gifts and enjoy the holiday spirit. We would like to highlight that the ‘ice skating’ could be an underwhelming experience if you expect a true ice ring. However, it could be a great activity for children.

This celebration of the island’s gastronomic tradition and culinary richness is a must-attend event.
